After dropping Game 1 of the doubleheader, the Inland Valley Pirates (9-3, 2-2) cooled off the High Desert Heat (3-3, 2-2) in Game 2 en route to a 6-4 victory.
Christian Kelley scored Fernando Escobar on a sacrifice fly and Jonny Reynoso ripped an RBI single scoring Nolan Henley to put the Pirates in front 2-0.

The Pirates (8-3, 1-2) dropped the first game of the doubleheader 5-1 to the High Desert Heat (3-2, 2-1) on Saturday morning at Victor Valley College.
The Heat were on fire in the early going as they scored all five runs in between the third and fifth innings to sprint out to a 5-0 lead.

The Buccaneers (2-8, 2-4) suffered a devastating three-loss day on Saturday in San Diego.
Game 2

Mbusi Hlatshwayo was the hero in Game 1 of the series against San Diego when he cranked a game-winning RBI triple in the ninth inning.
The Bucs (2-5, 2-1) prevailed 5-4 over Team San Diego (7-2, 0-1).

The Pirates (8-2, 1-1) defeated the Palm Springs Power (9-1, 1-1) 4-3 Wednesday night at Palm Springs Stadium.
Andrew Alvarez continued his outstanding play with a 2-for-4 day including an RBI and a run scored. In addition to the stellar job at the plate, Alvarez dominated the opposition on the bump. He struck out six in eight excellent innings.

The Buccaneers (1-5, 1-1) won their first game of the season 3-2 against the High Desert Heat on a game-winning RBI by Michael Smith Wednesday night at Cal Poly Pomona.
Nathaniel Acosta tossed five shutout innings and struck out six.

The Pirates (7-2, 0-1) fell 8-2 to the Palm Springs Power (9-0, 1-0) at Palm Springs Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Pirates grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the third on an RBI single by Andrew Alvarez scoring Greg Espinosa, but the Power answered with two in the bottom of the third to take a 2-1 lead.
Palm Springs added four in the fourth and two more in the sixth to increase their lead to 8-1.

The Buccaneers (0-5, 0-1) lost 5-4 to the High Desert Heat (2-1, 1-0) Tuesday afternoon at Cal Poly Pomona.
The Bucs started things off right in the second when Girardo Ramirez belted an RBI single into right field scoring Jack Spohn.
The Heat responded with five unearned runs in the top of the third to grab a 5-1 lead.

The Buccaneers (0-4) lost 10-3 to Team Las Vegas Sunday night at Basic High School in Las Vegas.
It started out well for the Bucs, who scored three runs in the first two innings, but it was all Team Las Vegas after.
Anthony Rabito ripped a two-run double in the first and Michael Smith belted an RBI single in the second.

The Pirates struck first when Andrew Alvarez knocked in Fernando Escobar in the first inning to make it 1-0.
