Bucs Offense Sparks Fireworks on 4th of July Weekend

BUCS GM 18The Buccaneers (7-15-1, 3-9) defeated AOS Baseball 12-5 Sunday afternoon at Cal Poly Pomona.

Inland Valley trailed 5-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth, but refused to give in.

Anthony Seminaris started the rally off with a single and scored on a two-run single by Kevin Riley. Richie Chavez, who singled, scored on the play as well. Riley scored on an RBI ground out by Jake Teagle. Johnny Juarez singled and scored on a hit by Bryce Brooks. Bucs Offense Explodes for 8 Runs

bucs gm 13The Buccaneers offense exploded for eight runs in an 8-4 victory over the Lancaster Rounders (2-2-1) on Saturday afternoon at Cal Poly Pomona.

Chris Sanchez (1-0) dazzled on the mound tossing 8.1 innings, while striking out 10 and only allowing one earned run.

Pirates Complete Doubleheader Sweep

pirates gm 15The Pirates (12-3-1, 4-2) defeated the Bucs (3-12, 2-8) 10-3 Saturday afternoon at Cal Poly Pomona to complete the doubleheader sweep.

The Pirates put the game away early, jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning.

Taylor Valentine posted gaudy numbers, while dominating the competition in 2013. The Cal State San Bernardino senior-to-be earned Pitcher of the Year honors while finishing 5-0 with a 0.66 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 40.2 innings.
