The Buccaneers (9-19-1, 3-11) beat the East LA Dodgers 6-4 Wednesday afternoon at Whittier Christian High School.
Jayson De La Pena was superb, tossing five innings and striking out two, while allowing no runs.

The Buccaneers (7-15-1, 3-9) defeated AOS Baseball 12-5 Sunday afternoon at Cal Poly Pomona.
Inland Valley trailed 5-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth, but refused to give in.
Anthony Seminaris started the rally off with a single and scored on a two-run single by Kevin Riley. Richie Chavez, who singled, scored on the play as well. Riley scored on an RBI ground out by Jake Teagle. Johnny Juarez singled and scored on a hit by Bryce Brooks. The Pirates (5-0) continued their stellar play Wednesday night at Cal Poly Pomona with a two-hitter and a 4-0 victory over the Bucs (0-3).
Anthony Seminaris broke up the no-hitter with two outs in the sixth inning when he turned on an inside pitch and ripped it down the left field line.

SCCBL all-stars AJ David, Kyle Jackson, Christian Kelley and Taylor Valentine are all back to help the club improve upon last season’s 12-11-1 mark. 
Taylor Valentine posted gaudy numbers, while dominating the competition in 2013. The Cal State San Bernardino senior-to-be earned Pitcher of the Year honors while finishing 5-0 with a 0.66 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 40.2 innings.
