The Pirates (5-0) continued their stellar play Wednesday night at Cal Poly Pomona with a two-hitter and a 4-0 victory over the Bucs (0-3).
Anthony Seminaris broke up the no-hitter with two outs in the sixth inning when he turned on an inside pitch and ripped it down the left field line.
The Pirates struck in the fifth when Fernando Escobar knocked in Jacob Bernardy.
Bernardy was once again at the center of the Pirates scoring in the seventh when he singled, stole a base and scored on a Nathan Virgen RBI. Alec Morabito added another run when Blake James came through with a sacrifice fly.
In the eighth, the Pirates tallied one more run when Greg Espinosa doubled and scored.
The Bucs were led by Michael Reina (2 IP), Jayson De La Pena (1 IP), Art Salazar Jr. (1 IP) and Nathaniel Acosta (1 IP), all of whom held the Pirates scoreless.
Brett Early notched the victory, while striking out three in 2.2 innings. Jack Johnson struck out the side in the seventh and earned a hold.
