The Pirates (7-1) defeated Team Las Vegas 10-4 Sunday afternoon at Basic High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Pirates struck first when Andrew Alvarez knocked in Fernando Escobar in the first inning to make it 1-0.

After a slow start in the first three innings, the Pirates scored in the next four innings to claim a 5-1 victory over the California Titans at Cal Poly Pomona Tuesday night.

The Inland Valley Pirates (3-0) jumped out to an early start and never looked back in a 10-0 victory against the East L.A. Dodgers Monday night at Banning High School.
Although the offense exploded for 10 runs, the story was the 17 strikeouts the four Pirate pitchers earned en route to a collective shutout. Jack Johnson notched the win and recorded seven strikeouts in three innings. Kevin Glomb started the game and tossed two innings, while striking out three. The Pirates return 16 players from their maiden voyage.
SCCBL all-stars AJ David, Kyle Jackson, Christian Kelley and Taylor Valentine are all back to help the club improve upon last season’s 12-11-1 mark. 
Taylor Valentine posted gaudy numbers, while dominating the competition in 2013. The Cal State San Bernardino senior-to-be earned Pitcher of the Year honors while finishing 5-0 with a 0.66 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 40.2 innings.
