WILMINGTON, CA – The Pirates (8-9,6-8) needed extra frames for their third consecutive game, but this time, fell short in 12 innings to the East L.A. Dodgers 3-2 on Friday night at Banning High.

Taylor Valentine was electric striking out eight in 11 innings of work as the Inland Valley Pirates (8-8,6-8) won 1-0 in 12 innings over the Long Beach Legends (25-16,7-4) in game one of the doubleheader at Long Beach City College Tuesday.

The Palm Springs POWER carried out a small measure of revenge Tuesday night, defeating the Inland Valley Pirates 8-3 at Palm Springs Stadium. The Pirates are the only team to defeat the POWER (13-1, 4-1) this season.

The Palm Springs POWER hit their first bump in the road Saturday night, falling to the Inland Valley Pirates 7-2 at Palm Springs Stadium.
The POWER (11-1, 3-1) saw the second best start to a season in franchise history end at 11-0. The team began the 2006 season 17-0.
