Pirates Bats to much for the Pirates

Fullerton, Calif.- The Inland Valley Pirates fell to the Ventura County Pirates with a final score of 10-8 Sunday at night at Amerige Park.

The Ventura County Pirates offense was hot from the first pitch and would not cool down until the 5th inning. Ventura County opened the game with a 2 run homerun by Frank Garriola. Then added two in the second, two in the fourth and another two in the fifth.

The Inland Valley Pirates opened the game with a four inning boost but would score any more runs until the 8th and 9th. The Ventura County offense would prove to be enough as the VC Pirates beat the IV Pirates 10-8

 

The Pirates will be back in action tomorrow against VC Pirates again. First pitch is scheduled at 7 pm. Pirates lose 8-10.
