Pirates Fall In Game 1 VS The Power

Fullerton, Calif.- The Inland Valley Pirates dropped the first game of a double header to the Palm Springs Power Monday at Amerige Park by a final score of 6-1.

Riley Kaspar continued his strong play at the plate Monday night as he went 2-for-3. Kaspar is hitting .375 on the year. Despite the strong offense game from Kaspar the Pirates Offense was shutdown by Hofstra RHP Boscia. Boscia struck out six and held the pirates to one run bottom of the 5th (Demitri Collachio scored after hitting a single to get on)

Palm Springs is one of the top teams in the SCCBL ( 4-0). The Pirates will look to even up the series and give the power their first loss of the year tonight at 7pm. Pirates lose 1-6.
