Bucs beat Bulldogs 3-2 to make it two in a row

The Inland Valley Bucs and Riverside Bulldogs played a back and forth affair on Friday night, but the Inland Valley Bucs eventually prevailed 3-2 after taking the lead for good in the sixth inning. The game was tied at two with Inland Valley Bucs batting in the bottom of the sixth when Aaron McCann doubled off of Ryan Daugherty, driving in the go ahead run.

The Bucs and Bulldogs would each score runs in the second and fourth. Johnny Juarez would single in the second and eventually come home to score on a passed ball while Patrick Vizcaino would score in the fourth on a double play.

Bucs pitching was sharp all night as 4 pitchers would combine to only allow five hits and two walks while striking out five. Erik Cha made his first start for the Bucs and allowed one run in three innings on one hit and two walks. Brandon Godoy, Adrian Guzman and Logan Lannon would only allow one run the rest of the way with Guzman picking up the win and Lannon picking up the save with a one, two, three ninth inning.
