The Inland Valley Pirates (2-3-1) were shutout at home 7-0 by the Solana Beach Cardinals on Friday night.
Inland Valley scratched out just three hits and only one runner reached as far as third base.
Peter Eitapence got the start for the Pirates and struggled in his three innings of work. The right hander allowed four runs on four hits and walked three.
The Pirates and Cardinals play again on Saturday at Solana Beach. First pitch is at 11am.
