SCCBL Pirates Defeat the So Cal Bombers at Home

The SCCBL Pirates added it’s third win to the season this Tuesday night with a 10-3 routing of the So Cal Bombers.

Ryan McAnless got things started for Inland Valley with a home run in the third, making it two consecutive games now with a home run hit by the left fielder. The Pirates would score four more times in that inning after a double RBI by both catcher Kyle Harper and short stop Kevin Kramer and a single two run RBI from first baseman Chase Wehesner.

Inland Valley would go on to score an additional five runs in the fifth to secure their lead over the Bombers.

On the mound, it was Andre Henson with the standout performance. Henson pitched five complete innings, striking out nine of his opponents and allowing just one run.

Tomorrow is a day off for the Pirates, but they will be back at Amerige Field on Thursday for a double header against the Palm Springs Power. The first game begins at 4:00pm.
