Bucs use long ball to beat Bulldogs 6-2

The Bucs played long ball in beating the Riverside Bulldogs 6-2 at Cal Poly Pomona Sunday night.

Patrick Vizcaino got things started in the first for Inland Valley. He launched a two-run shot that put the Pirates up 2-0.

In the bottom of the sixth with the Bucs leading 3-1 it was Anthony Walters turn. The University of California shortstop hit a three-run homer to make it 6-1 and send Riverside to their fourteenth straight loss.

Aaron Bernal pitched seven strong innings to earn the win.

The Bucs are back in action on Tuesday hosting the San Diego Force in a doubleheader.
