In a non-conference game Thursday afternoon, the Inland Valley Buccaneers beat the Gamer 8-2 at Citrus College. With the win, the Buccaneers improved to 7-6 overall on the season.
The Buccaneers got strong pitching this afternoon, holding the Gamers to only 6 hits. Starter Tyler Agajanian went 5 strong innings, allowing 4 hits and and striking out 2 to get his first win on the season. Relievers Jake Wilkerson and Aaron Bernal pitched the last 4 innings and only allowing 1 run on 2 hits.
The offense was also clicking for the Buccaneer with 11 hits and three stolen bases. Leadoff hitter Dylan Hirsh lead the way going 2-4 with 2 RBIs in the 5th inning. Third baseman Max Miller was on base 3 out of his 4 at bats with 2 runs scored.
The Buccaneers go on the road for a double header against the San Diego Force on Saturday at Madison HS before returning home on Monday against the Inland Valley Pirates at 4:30 PM.
